Day 3 in Paradise

Hi All,

Didn't think I would be writing this often, but since I am feeling well, bored, and the spirt moved me, I am reaching out to all of you. Love the responses we have gotten thus far on the blog! I'm done with the 3rd day of chemo (50% home..hooray!). The staff here has been really great to me thus far, aside from the cute aspect, and my guardian angels, Cookie and Barbara have been great company. Biggest accomplishment of the day was a 2 mile walk on the hallway "track" (FYI that is 70 lengths of the 159 ft. hall that I am confined to in this section of the hospital). Not a very scenic hike, but it felt good, and I did it all with my trusty companion Daisy Mae (last name Pole, as in I.V.) rolling beside me. Then I got a visit from the Recreational Therapist, who has scheduled me for a game of Tiger Woods Golf on the wii machine tomorrow in my own room! How good can it get? I'm sure rougher days are ahead, but so far so good. Love to you all...keep in touch.

Mike

Hi Mikee,
This blog thing has got me stumped. I'm not sure ours are getting through. Just in case, my Mike will certainly be in touch by phone. What would he do without his telephone? So glad your spirits are up and you aren't lacking for company. I'm back in Chicago. It feels good to be closer to you and Cookie. Mike comes back tomorrow. Love you both,
Lana

Mike,
Love the blog and the music! Wishing you well. Your words are an inspiration to me, surely I didn't walk 2 miles today. Busy on the sofa watching the Bulls get trashed by Boston. Kick Tiger's ass tomorrow. Make sure to wear a Sunday red shirt! Much Love. The Healy's.

Glad to hear your doing so well.
When taking on Tiger today, remember to hit them long and straight!

Mike,
When you play Tiger forget everything you ever knew about golf and just rip it!!! We all expect an update on who wins! You might suggest double or nothing before you begin - sounds like a set up to me.
Stay positive.

Mikey,
Only you can be in the hospital and still
manage to get in a round of golf. Stay away
from the sand you old blogger. We love you.

Mikey.......

Baby steps, Tiger on the first try? Why not start with someone just beneath you to get your legs like, oh maybe Lonnie?????

Good luck and let me know how it comes out.

Of course you would be playing golf on the wii in the hospital! What a smart rec therapist! If you are walking two miles in the hallway, you will be in great shape for your Colorado hikes with us.
Love you,
Sue and Barry
