Day + 6

Hi All,

After a day off blogging, I thought I would enter a few words. But how good is Cookie getting at this?!! She is getting more creative by the day, my little drooling Gardener. But I must warn you just a little bit, that I see a tendency to expand on the truth just a tad, for humorous effect. I think she got this from brother Brook. But I know you all are enjoying her new-found outlet for creativity, and that's all that matters.
I have slowed down somewhat, as expected. However, just fatigue is o.k. with me. The day goes faster, the more you sleep! We did have fun with the Wii again this afternoon. Down 2 games to one, I made a comeback in Tennis to win the series 3 to 2. I was a little shocked when Cook quickly KO'd me in boxing...that girl is tougher than you think. But don't believe I was maniacal when I returned the favor...through a lifetime of sports, I learned to be a gracious winner and loser!
I will go on record, now that the Bulls are gone, that I am now rooting for the Cavaliers to go all the way (good luck Don C.). And I am also enjoying the Blackhawks' resurgence. My Cubs are on the verge of their first 4 game win streak, so don't get too cocky about St. Louis just yet (long way to go, Mark!). As Cook said, keep the comments coming....we just love it!
Love to all!

Mike

Hi Mike and Cookie,
Do your Wii people have names and look like you? That's the part that makes me smile when I play with my grandsons...it is a great diversion!
You two are really amazing...a love story with boxing, tennis and plants! Mike, we hope each day until you are home, goes faster than the day before. You and Cookie; the little plant stalker, can then enjoy everything you have planted together!
love, mari and barry

Hi Mike and Cookie. More importantly than Cleveland winning it all (which we're also rooting for), we want Boston to go down to Orlando in 4. We're so happy to hear from Mike and we think that every day you will be a little bit stronger and healthier. What was that war slogan...Bring our soldiers home. How about a big banner "Bring Mike home!" Can't wait to hear the news that you are home. Lots of love and hugs, Leslie and Norm

Mike - what I would have paid to see Cookie KO you!!! Don't worry that will never be brought up in a meeting!!!!! We are already talking about how we will incorporate the Wii as a team building exercise.
I have to say that I'm now a Blackhawk fan as well. Due to my team not even making the play-offs I still have to watch hockey - in the blood now - so we'll cheer together. (Is that a first - no - we still have Da Bears)
Stay Positive!!

I flew to Boston for that game and the second quarter was sooo bad! If Tyrus Thomas can't get pumped up and focused for a 7th game in the playoffs, then it's time for him to go. Maybe we can package him and Gordon for Chris Bosch?? Glad to hear everything's going well Mike and Cookie. Eudice and I follow the blog daily and continue to have great confidence that the garden will flourish!! Love B & E

Mike,
We are so happy to hear that you are doing well! Day 2 of me being at home and although I am very sore and uncomfortable it is nice to be in my own bed. I keep on telling Dave that I am not tired and then I sleep for 11 hours :) I can't wait for you to get home too. Glad to hear that you are becoming an expert on the Wii! We will have a challenge when we see you next. Hoping to come over the summer.

Hey Mike,
You must be feeling better, since you sound a little feisty. Also, I'm glad that you acknowledged one of my many gifts that I have given to Cookie. Humor is just the tip of the iceberg (of course with global warming and all...). I never thought I would hear that my petite peace and love sister kicked your ass in boxing. Let's move on to ultimate fighting. I'm betting on Cookie "The Pulverisor" Center. Bet she takes you down in the first round.
You both are amazing and such strength for each other and thats one of the many silver lining moments in all of this.
Love from Brook and Nina

GO WINGS!
Also, don't forget about the Mavs, Rangers and Boys.
Rest up and will talk on the phone soon.
